About

Mark Suppelsa

Hey there, I’m Mark, a designer living just north of Toronto in Richmond Hill. I have 10 years of experience creating work for top Canadian and international brands.

Here’s a brief history of who I am, what I do, and why we should work together. I grew up in a small rural Ontario town. Back in the day, if I wasn’t playing basketball in my driveway or at the park, you’d probably find me with a HB pencil or a BIC pen in hand drawing in my notebook. I’ve always had a love of pop culture. Comic books, cartoons, movies, music have always been a major source of inspiration for my work.

My talent for visual art took me to the University of Guelph where I studied drawing, painting, photography, printmaking and earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree. After graduating from U of G, I went on to study Digital Media Arts at Seneca College. Since then, I have been working as a designer with a strong focus on creating work for the web.

I have agency experience, working for 5 years full-time in Toronto as designer for Euro RSCG, Blast Radius and then Organic. I created websites, microsites, emails and banner ads for clients including BMW, AOL, Smirnoff, Crown Royal, MINl, Bell and Dodge. Since I decided to go freelance in 2007, I’ve had the opportunity to art direct and design web and mobile projects for a variety of great brands including Disney, Toyota Canada, and BlackBerry.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife, going camping, cooking, painting used furniture, drawing, reading graphic novels and being a die-hard NBA fan.

I’m currently available for full-time work in the Toronto area and freelance web design projects. Have a look at my portfolio and feel free to get in touch if you would like to work with me.
