The new SEVENTY7.ca has been up for just over a week and so far the response to my redesigned portfolio site has been great.

Yahoo! Sports Ads on jerseys contest

A few months ago Yahoo! Sports NBA blog Ball Don’t Lie had a contest that asked people to bypass Commissioner Stern’s practice jerseys trial run, don a Don Draper hat, and conjure up some corporate sponsors to slap on actual NBA game uniforms.

My entry Toronto Taco Bell – Hedo makes a run north of the border won!

The NBA is back!

Yes, my favourite sport on the planet is back. It should be an interesting season with a lot of key players moving to already great teams – Shaq in Cleveland, Sheed in Boston and Artest with the Lakers. My home team the Raptors should improve with Hedo on the team.

I’m also glad one of my favourite podcasts is back, The Basketball Jones. The Jones is an NBA podcast by J.E. Skeets and Tas Melas that has a lot of great talk about the L and is incredibly entertaining.

Welcome to my new website! My online portfolio has been long overdue for a redesign. The previous all-flash SEVENTY7 site was launched in 2006. It won some awards, landed me tons of great projects but it’s time has come and gone. One thing you’ll notice about the new SEVENTY7.ca is I’ve ditched Flash for a CSS site running Wordpress. The reason for this is simple, Flash is kind of a pain to update. Using Wordpress as a content management system for my site gives me the ability to update from anywhere, even my phone. So along with me posting my latest works, I will also be writing about the things I love like music, movies and basketball.

Blu-ray Disc

This layout was created as part of a redesign for the Blu-ray Disc Association’s official website, blu-raydisc.com. The objective of this project was to create a user friendly, visually compelling and interactive Blu-ray site with a real “wow” factor.

BlackBerry on Facebook

After creating the design for the official Blackberry Fan Page on Facebook, facebook.com/blackberry, I was asked to create a layout for a Facebook application called Blackberry on Facebook. This application could be added to the Facebook user’s tab on their profile page providing the latest Blackberry news discussions and downloads.

OMG it’s Miley! Yes, I helped create the official website for Disney’s Hannah Montana DVDs staring Miley Cyrus. My role for this project was to come up with the look and feel for the site. I also created the template for the flash animations.
